This past Sunday (September 26th) was my and Bindi's birthday. Yes, we share a birthday (she was totally meant to be my dog). She turned two (sniffle) and I turned *coughthritycough* two. What?! You thought I was younger? Aww, you're too kind. :)
And let's give it up to all my fellow Libra's! There are a lot of us!
Bryan and I set out for a road trip--three nights in Savannah--and sadly left our furbaby at home. Thankfully we have very kind neighbors who checked on her several times a day and fed her treats constantly (per our request, we have guilty consciences).
This was not my first time visiting the fair city and I enjoyed it very much the second time around. I'm already itching to go back and explore even more.
Views from our room--I could get used to this!
I think what I love most about Savannah is its history and how the city preserves it. The historic district is located downtown (which is where our hotel was located) and it's HUGE! And very walkable. And very green. And absolutely beautiful with texture everywhere!
Can you smell the fear?! I might have been a tad nervous.
Bryan's pre-ceramony photo shoot-haha!
The only picture of our two flower girls/nieces together on the big day--only one was brave enough to walk down the aisle (they were almost three at the time) and the other fell asleep during the ceremony so she was not in the group pictures.
My pretty Mom whose birthday was yesterday--Happy Birthday Mom!
The bridal party; my sister was maid of honor and Bryan's best friend was the best man.
Our combined families minus one tuckered out flower girl.
I almost experienced a wardrobe malfunction since this dress was not altered. This was a back-up dress since my original wedding dress was ruined by the dry cleaners. Ahem, there may have been tears the day before when I picked up my dress and it was about four inches too short.
The End!

My Bday was Sunday too! I can't believe your wedding dress was ruined. How awful. Glad to hear you made the best of it and moved on to enjoy a special day.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! I am dying to visit Savannah also. OMG! I cannot believe that happened to your wedding dress! At least you had a beautiful back up dress.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit your weddings pics have totally wiped Savannah from my mind! What a hot bride you were! I can't believe what happened to your 'real' dress....but you'd never know it by looking at you. And, happy birthday!

ReplyDeleteI loved the wedding photos too! You look gorgeous!
First off, happy birthday! Secondly, happy anniversary! Love the wedding photos and I cannot BELIEVE the dry cleaners messed up your dress! Have you told us that story before? I'm totally in disbelief. You are wonder woman in my book for going through that. The dress you had on was still gorgeous and what a beautiful wedding day!
ReplyDeleteI'm really itching to go to Savannah. I've heard it's gorgeous and your photos show that as well.
Happy belated b-day and anniversary! Thanks for sharing the wedding pics.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
